What Happens In Vegas…

You know the saying, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Well, I’m breaking the rule and spilling. My husband and I went to Vegas for our 6-year anniversary and had a great time. Yes, it was 112 degrees the whole time and yes, I managed to get sunburnt through sunscreen, but it was a lot of fun.
Our hotel was amazing. There was so much to do, even though the shopping inside the hotel was crazy expensive, think high end hand bags and jewelry. I thought it was crazy, and even more crazy that you had to have an appointment to get into those stores. Like what?! But it was fun to wander through the shopping area and just soak in the environment.
Now the strip…It’s insane. We walked the whole strip several times. The first time I made the bad mistake of wearing flip flops and managed to get a massive blister between my toes. I will not go into details about what I had to do to get rid of it…Anyway…The next day I bought a pair of sneakers, but thanks to my terrible luck, the new shoes rubbed the back of my heels raw, so I ended up with Band-Aids everywhere on my feet.
We did what everyone does in Vegas and gambled, well my husband gambled and I watched. It’s not really my thing. We didn’t get to see a show because we were so busy doing other things. Like going to playoff hockey! We saw the Las Vegas Golden Knights take on the Colorado Avalanche and they won! The atmosphere in that arena was insane! It was a full house and it was quite the show, besides the game, it was very clear that we were at a game in Vegas, complete with showgirls, cheerleaders, fire shows, and even a LIVE DJ! I’ve been to a lot of hockey games and this one had the best atmosphere. (Don’t tell my Penguins.) I didn’t think it could get any more electric, but the atmosphere after the final whistle was crazy. It was so loud in the arena that I could not hear myself think.
